90 hardtop for 88 conv.

90 hardtop for 88 conv.
I am wondering if anyone has modified an 88 conv. to accept
the hard top from the later years of C4s (89-96)? I have a
1990 optional hardtop that is unused and I think is complete
and would like to put it on my 88, but the windshield frame
will have to be modified and the brackets in back of the hardtop
look like they must bolt on to the frame behind the seats.
I am wondering if the 88 frame will have to be drilled or modified.
