freakin fireballs
ok my car lately has been backfire at and above 4000rpm and im wondering what the hell is cause this to backfire cause when it does i lose all power then engine almost dies then BOOM it comes out with fire and it scares the ish out of me and what kind of damage is this doing to my engine. COuld it be the coil? thanks for any help.

Inspect the cap and rotor. Make sure you dont have any burnt spark plug wires. Check timing. Check fuel pressure. I bet it scare the heck out of people around you.

Probably fried your catalytic for sure!
Check the rotor to see if its loose or broken, also check timing. Open the hood at night with the engine on and look for sparks.
