I need someone who has th 84 bose system wire schematics, wire color, routing, and pin connector type(s). This 84 is missing the bose radio but I will find one. All the speakers have been replaced with some type of new kenwood speakers and the bose amps have cut leads. May have to find other speakers possibly? Although this car has new speakers added to the dash also, I assume this was incorrect if the car was bose equipped with door and rear speakers?
I am rebuilding/restoring this 84 for my wife and have car's dash and total interior out. Previous owner had cut many wires in the entire hood/interior system and just left many hanging in place, made jumper connections which are not correct or simply removed sections. I have reconstruccted the engine area and most of the interior except for the radio system. Believe it or not I have "everything" functioning again (door switches, 6-way, lights, etc, etc!!). I just need this last bit of help with the bose system. Oh, this car is missing the antenna too so wondering if all the 84's came with a power antenna? I need a little more detailed schematics than the regular service manuls. Anyone Help?l

Re: 84 Bose System Schematics (Cory00)
Don't put the bose back in. The previous owner probably already rewired it for a normal stereo system. You could undo his work, but for the price of the bose crap, you could have a very nice aftermarket system.
I found all my info on a website last year... I'll see if I can track it down.
Thanks to both of you on responding. Yes, changing to a new aftermarket cd player would be better than the cassette bose system. I just get caught up in "original" equipment sometimes. I am doing my 58 and 72 convertible bodyoffs and just get hung up in "the restoration/preservation" aspects of these cars. By the way, the bose system in our 90 is on the blink too. Based on both your inputs, I feel I will probably go ahead and complete the harness fixing of all the rest of the accessories less the radio--then just add a new system and neatly run the new wires. Might solve all my problems and wife can listen to great tunes on "modern" system. thanx bill
Oh, I am sure some folksl on ebay will buy all my old tornup bose stuff for more than it would have cost new. Why not change.
