hello corvette people , I bought an air pump eliminator bracket from forum member Tom ulrich ( great transaction ) And I installed it insted of the air pump !!! what you think >?? here are some before and after pics
I shure did :D the only thing I left are the pipes from the left and right exaust manifolds !!! It shure looks cleaner now , It`s highly recomended for those who likes the old fashon V8 with less stuff in the way
Awsome...Thats the next bolt on I want to do (pulleys also). I"m glad you bought it off Tom Ulrich...Great guy; I bought my forced air intake from him....!
very nice...how bout sharing the specs for that so some of us handy people can build one and not pay the rediculous price the aftermarket wants for two pieces of bar stock and a pulley/bearing assembly... :yesnod: or if you want to make another and sell it that may be option too if it's resonable
i will make air pump replacements brackets for the guys on forum. in the process of building another for the 89 and will consider bluiding several more to cover the costs of my own. the unit is made from 6061 air aluminum and machined to fit in exactly the same place as the air pump.the other models remove the entire bracket and bolt to head through spacers. i think using the existing air pump bracket is simple and can use the exist bolts. i will however this time spec it to blueprint and provide as tech tip.. if they allow it. :)
the best way for me is to build the bracket and give you the part number for the pulley which u can pick any parts store ...SAVE U $$$$$$ not sure of total build costs yet.... thanks guys
