what 6 speed is it?
i have a buddy with a 97 z28. i believe that it has the lt1 doesnt it? what are the numbers on it? hp torque and all that? what kind of tranny is his? it is a 6 speed car but is a zf like my vette or is it another kind? he says that it slips outta 3rd gear on him and is sometimes hard to get into gear. any ideas what could be the prob? anyone know where in sc to get work done on the tranny besides a dealer? thanks guys. :thumbs:

Yours is ZF6, his is T56. ZF6 can handle alot more power, because it was used in ZR1s.
Losing 3rd is VERY COMMON in T5s and T56s.
I just dont know who in that area does good work on Manual Transmissions.
