Anyone know why when DesktopDyno is run under forced induction that the field for exhaust data is null? Shouldn't exhaust play a relatively important role in HP/torque calculations?

Wild a** guess on my part...the positive cylinder filling negates gains from passive scaveging from the exhaust. I too was wondering why it wouldn't let you choose an exhaust system. I know that when I went from a stock exhaust to a highflow system, I could feel a loss in low end torque and a gain in the top end. Also, I wish they had ATI head units amoung their list of blowers. Currently using T-trim profile to estimate output (have ATI D1SC)...let me know if you'd like to exchange DD2000 files...would like to see how others are configuring the program.

Desk top is a cheap program don't give you enough options but for the price it is something to give you a ballpark figure. I have a program that cost about ten times what desk top does and as you would expect it allows you to pick different exhaust systems and yes it shows big increase in power when you choose a free flowing system for a forced induction engine. :leaving:
ENGINE ANALYZER Not perfect but better than DT
Last winter a local speed shop was trying to sell desk top for $ 20.00 I would not expect too much at that price.
Black Bart, what operating system are you running...I found the Engine Analyzer on Summit but it states that its for Windows 3.1 and Win95 ONLY. Might be a problem on WinMe (my laptop) and WinXP (my desktop)??? Seems incredible that its limited to Win95
Never fear it will work You may want to look for something newer I have had it for years maybe something better by now. Like all computer programs it is not100% accurate because their are to many variables from engine to engine but it gives you something to check different setup to see what it should do
