My headlights open fine...but when its time to close 1/3 of the time the left one stays up, I use the **** inside and give it a little twist and it goes right down.
The person i bought the car from 2 weeks ago said he had replaced the gears...
any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Re: Help : with My 87 corvette headlight problem (wildone)
It sounds like the switch inside of the headlight motor isn't making full contact when open. Its hard to explain w/o having a picture in front of me to tell you what it looks like. Maybe I have some pictures stored somewhere with the inside of the motor, I'll check.
Brush1.jpg has a shot of the internal limit switches that can cause a problem going up or down. Also; this problem can be mechanical binding or interference. If the headlight jams or stalls for any reason the motor is shutoff. Check for smooth action by opening and closing with the **** on the motor and feel for any extra resistance. Fix that first.
