86 4+4?

86 4+4?
My 4+3 seems to want to do the overdrive engage thing in 1st gear (kinda-sorta-sometimes-whenever-it-feels-like-it). For the life of me, I cannot find the 1st gear od lockout...I am assuming that I have a bad wire connecting to the lockout. Any suggestions? Are there any circumstances where the 1st gear should have an overdrive version?

86 is the only year without a 1st gear switch on the side of the 4-speed.
Also O/D in 1st is available under these conditions for 86.
-Overdrive after downshifting while OD is engaged
-OD may be engaged with button
-OD kicks out on acceleration, if RPM <4000
-Accelerating at >60% throttle turns off overdrive in all gears

85 will allow OD in 1st if you downshift from 2ndOD from a high enough speed.
I've read this, but never actually tested it. But yeah, with the first gear switch, it seems like you could never have first gear OD. So I guess I/ll just test it tomorrow.
