They make a special tool that you can use it looks like a big c-clamp. it uses dies etc and an air ratchet. When I had to put my dana 44 in, the service manager at the dealership we have, changed all the U joint on the driveshaft in under 5 minutes with it. :eek: I was used to doing the old fashion way :smash: and a big vise.
Check with Autozone you may be able to borrow/rent it.

Another option to consider, remove the shafts and head for a drive line repair facility. This is bench work, ususally pretty cheap. They will likely use a very good press and adapter.
