I went with KYB from the tire rack.
Read a alot of good reviews here about them and for the price !!
I'm not into the "ultimate" performance thing, just need a nice ride.
i just put on a set of KYB's
they were the cheapest shocks that i could find ($27 at summit)
so far so good, only been on one short little cruise but they are an improvement over what i had
I noticed you race in the GLCC Jeff....how are they for drag racing ?...notice any difference ?...thanks
p.s. sorry for the hijack...
Dan
Couldn't really tell you if they are better then Bilsteins or not, since the motor I am running now was pout in just before the shocks.. The front does lift though on hard accel.
I am happy so far with them.. They have been on for 2 years
Here's my desires: I'd like a more throaty sound than the stock, BUT I don't want that resonance while cruising at 60-70 mph. My wife would not like that and it's hard enough for me to get her to go on a trip in my Vette. So, for me, I guess B&Bs are out of the game as well as Flowmasters 40 series. I also, like the LT-1 tips that came on the OEM exhaust. I wish I could hear a set of Power Effects at cruise with the different openings. But they are expensive.
Disregard. I don't know why it switched to this thread, I was on the exhaust poll thread
