A quick catchup for those that did not catch the previous posts-was missing and surging really bad. Replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, thermo sensor, MAP sensor, dist. cap, rotor, plugs, wires and finally injectors. Replaced OEM injectors with Bosch/Ford 21# @ 40#'s. FPR checks out as does EGR. Even with bad injectors, would start with 1st turn over (There is NO cold start valve on this L98). WOT then would jerk your head back when shifting into 3rd gear of the auto trans. Now it takes 4 or 5 revolutions to fire and there seems to be something missing at WOT in upper gears. There are parts and placements on this 91 that are more like 92. Fuel pressures at ignition are 42 then 40. Running are at 38-39 lbs.
So - - any suggestions? Could it be that old injestors were good at 38# running and the new ones need more pressure? If so, can the FPR be adjusted?
Digital camera coming on Wed. will shoot photos and post so the forum can see what I'm talking about re:91 vs. 92
Thanks for the help and the kick start on the previous posts and replacing the injectors.

What it feels like, for those that remember the old days, is a bad vacuum advance on the distribtor. The throttle response just isn't quite what it should be but when the dist. catches up, the car hauls butt. Had wifey drive it last night and she did not notice any problems, but she don't drive it every day.
Any ideas?
TIA
