LT4 Question

Was all 1996 6-speed corvettes LT4 or could you get a 1996 LT1 6-speed car?

You could not get a 6-speed LT1. Had to get the LT4 for the 6 speed.

In 96 only LT4's had 6 sp trans
If it was a 96 LT1 then it was an automatic.

Oh well, I got the 6-speed in order to get that wonderfull LT4!!!!

With my shifting ability, I'd be much better off with a good auto!

The 6-speed is really a lot of fun, but I never missed a shift(the auto is much faster than me too) or found myself in a wrong gear when I had my 89 vette with auto.

Overall, the LT4 with 6-speed is a fantastic package!!

Same for me, after a year my brain became my auto trans, now I drive in bumper to bumper traffic without even thinking about shifting. If only I could learn to cut a 0.500 light, then I'd be happy with my manual trans driving abilities.
