Quick advice needed. Have parts apart.
Now, I have the headliner, rear view mirror and sunshades/mirrors off and the top is on with no squeaks found so far. So far, so good.
My idea is this....
Since I never use the sunshade/mirrors at all, and while I drove around with it off (to settle the top for adjustment) the view was much better. Everything just looked better. If I could leave the rear view mirror off, I'd do that to. LOL.
So, should I leave the sunshades/mirrors off the car? If I needed a mirror to use, I can use the side mirrors and just angle them inwards. It looks a lot better in my opinion, and it would only leave a small hole in the headliner, just like the hole for removing the top.
****EDIT*****
Plus, with the top out, I imagine it will look a lot better without seeing the sunshade/mirrors.

It cleans up the view by a noticeable amount, gives it a much cleaner look. I never did really use them, so I like the look a lot better. It looks a lot better with the top out as well.
If I ever decide to put them back in, it's an easy fix.
I'm 6'3", 265 pounds and I HAD to take the sunvisors off to see any overhead hanging stop lights. Even tall pole ones. My '84 had old seat foam and was a lot better. My '87 has the dual vanity mirror option too.
