save yourself the money just go out and get some High temp engine enamel spray it in a cup and brush it on... carefull to mask off all the areas you don't want to paint.. Also clean em good first as well.. I only painted my rears.. My fronts came red but the rears turned out nice as well. If your in a hurry to get a few coats on use a hair dryer between coats. The epoxy may hold up better but for the 3 bucks it costs for the paint I used. I can just do it again in a few years if need be..
Why don't you try eastwood's caliper paint? They have some cool colors. Check them at eastwood.com; I think they are running a sale on it this month. Oh, and watch out- eastwood is one of the coolest sites ever for an auto buff, so set a budget before even hitting the website!
I tried high temp paint on my caliper mounting brackets. I think I should have wiped them down better maybe with Acetone.
I had trouble getting the engine paint to cover without giving a spotty appearance.

I disagree that it looks rice, especially since I did mine to match the C5 Z06 - which is far from rice.
I cleaned them with the trusty dremel tool with a wire wheel, then wiped them down with laquer thinner. I was able to mask and spray the front side with no problem, then used the cap/paint method Ericthewolf mentioned for the back side. Here are the results:
Good luck!
I really dont think they were calling the red calipers rice...I believe they were refering to the type r stuff (which I can only hope its a joke, isnt it?) My calipers are red as well and I get plenty of compliments. I agree you should go to the local parts store and purchase hi temp paint...Cost effective and when youre done youll be one happy Vette owner....

10-4. I only got the red x for some reason when I read it the 1st time. The paintshop enhanced type R didn't show up when I read the thread. It shows up now. With the big R, that has to be the fastest corvette on the forum! Only clear tail lights would make it any faster! :lolg:
Wish you lived in the Phoenix area ... I'd swap calipers with ya. Mine are painted red, and though the previous owner did a nice job on the calipers, it's a bit too much bling bling for me.
Home Depot sells epoxy paint in a few different colors in spray cans, not expensive at all. I think the prep work(sanding, cleaning etc) is really more important. Before I paint anything I wipe it down with denatured alcohol.
For you noodle-heads that missed the whole "Type-R graphics for my Corvette" post, humorously made by 'Eric the Wolfe', here is the link.
Sorry you missed the fun that day. Don't worry, its just photoshop. But it's so damn funny I hope he always keeps his sig that way. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=581129
