My A/C/Heater blower on my 1986 has finally quit working. I have the intermittent display problem with the temp display but that is independent of the blower problem. For a long time my blower worked intermittently, and then it worked just fine for a year or two. A couple of weeks ago, the intermittent problem came back and now it is dead. No battery is getting to the fan and I've checked fuses, including the underhood fuse. I'm assuming it is a controller problem. How do I check this? and is it fixable or requires replacement?
I finally got all my Climate control and fan working yesterday afternoon. The underhood fuse had blown and the fan was only one speed. My guess is that either your blower relay or module is broken or maybe a bad ground.
You could check the ground at the blower with a meter to see if it’s that.
Hopefully one of the Corvette guru’s will jump in with a bteer answer.
don’t know enough about this stuff, all I do know I got from the Forum.
On my 88 with climate control the module is sticking into the heater and held by screws- I think at the top – I’ve never seen it though as my car is RHD and the heater is now on the RH Side and upside down so the module must be at the bottom and there’s too much stuff in the way.
Hope this boosts your post to the top and someone can help.
