Head Gasket Dressing?
What brand of dressing/sealant do you guys recommend? 91 L-98 aluminum heads. The Haynes manual says nothing. Is that right?

That's right no sealer is used if it's a OEM compatible replacement head gasket.
Use thread sealer or sensor safe Permatex silicone sealer on the threads of the head bolts.
Torque the head bolts in 3 sequences. Maybe like 25 ft. lbs. 45 ft. lbs then 67 ft lbs.
Note the head gasket should have a marking for which side faces up.

Use Fel-Pro teflon coated head gaskets and you won't be worrying about head gaskets for 6 times the life of GM head gaskets. That's how long mine lasted. And, no, don't smear goo on your head gaskets.

I use the super thin, expensive TPiS gaskets (to gain about 0.5 point C.R.), and spray them with a LIGHT coat of Copper-Coat from an aerosol can.

NONE!!!
And use the HD Racing gaskets. About $35.00 each if you search around.
