Default Hooker SuperComp Headers - Need Info ASAP

What are the part numbers for the headers ?

Do they come with the O2 sensor bung ?

Has anyone used their Y Pipe ?

2151-1 = Cermaic coated
2151 = No coating
2149 = with AIR fittings
I do not think they came with an O-2 bung, I welded mine in.

1. I use 2149 (1.75" primaries, 3.00" collector, coated)
2. Yes, but it is in the #7 primary and only monitor 1 tube. I've been ok "so far" like that. You may want to weld a bung into the collector and put a heated O2 sensor in there later.
3. Yes, #16720. Its a little bit of a pain to install, but does bolt right in and has plenty of clearence for the transmissions.

p.s.

The EGR tube on the 2149s has the same 2-bolt flange style connector that the 1988-1991 EGR tube uses and will mate right up. The tube though by default is NOT drilled out. If you want to use your EGR system you must drill out the tube to allow the gases to flow through it. The AIR connectors also bolt right up, but if you want to ditch that stuff you can cap em' off with a couple of $0.50 pipe caps from Home Depot.

I just put on the 2149 and their Y pipe. I put a heated 02 in the passenger side of the Y (lots more room with a 6spd) and it worked out fine. The Y is not a big deal to install, but I used and would recommend using solid aluminum gaskets for the flange connections. On the drivers side they stamp the pipe to clear automatics and this pulls the flange in a little bit. Using the aluminum gaskets worked great.

Don't know what you time frame is, but after the bung was installed in the Y, I sent it out to get coated (inside/outside) by HPC. Cost $48 and looks unbelievable.

$48 to coat the Ypipe ? That an awesome price.

Lots of things have to work out perfectly in order for me to be there on Sat.

The stock manifolds are still on the car and the Hookers are not even here yet.

Vic,

Don't forget to inspect your motor mount bolts! The passenger one on my '87 had to be reversed after I saw it digging into my #6 primary tube. Thankfully I swapped it before it busted through.
