Default THe LT1 style intake.

Where is the limit of the LT1 intake? Can It handel a 383 supercharged engine? Or a 406 with a evil cam?
Flow numbers would be nice...

Thanks

no poopie ? :) So I guess the lt1intake conversion is a good and cheap way to make the tpi flow som air. Specially with the 6spd :)

thanks

I was talking to an engine builder this morning and told him I want 600-900 HP and said the LT-1 miniram is prefect too. :yesnod:

However, it might hurt low end torque on the near stock L98. Not sure though.

shorter the runners... the better for more power and higher rpms. I think the zr1 employs a dual runner system. At lower engine speeds it breathes through longer runners, and at higher the blades open the shorter runners. This has been studied for years by GM. The LS1 intake has longer runners which gives it more toruqe, but those guys know very high rpm will need a different intake... not really a concern with most people. Gm then made the LS6 intake different.. they realized that longer runners give torque but what is important is volume. The LS6 has increased volume inside of it. Take a look at the M5 engines intake... you'll see long trumpets and a HUGE intake the size of the motor. It probably has lke 8x the volume of the lt1 intake. thats why it makes excellent low torque AND high rpm power.

ANyways, the only way to really take advantage of the LT1/4 intake is to stroke the sucker and make it revv like crazy.
