1996 owners idle question
How's your idle? Does your run smoooooooth, or is it just a little rough?
Is a little rough and indication somethings wrong?

Rough usually indicates a dirty throttle body. The '96 is really simple to clean. Simply remove the linkage, loosen the bolts and remove the TB. Place over a nice bowl. Spray inside really well with 3M throttle body cleaner (NAPA store), do NOT use anything but TB cleaner. Anything like carb cleaner will remove protective coating. After you spray and soak with cleaner, use a toothbrush (they are soft enough yet will clean without damaging surfaces) to scrub the throttle plate and inside of bore on both sides of plate really well. Lube the plate shaft with a good oil (sparingly!). Reassemble and enjoy a smooth idle. One should clean the TB every 10K or so miles. e-mail if you need more info.
