Default Several problems solved at once with new ECM

I had slow, shuttering idle, and cooling fan not comming on with A/C.

The ECM that was replaced was already a GM rebuilt unit and the PROM had a transistor of some type sodiered into it? My question to the mechanic was what is that and why would a car with under 33k on it need a third ECM unit? He could not expain either. The ECM he installed is a new, not rebuilt unit. All problems now have gone away. I don't remember the exact $ but it was around $436 for the ECM, PROM, relay, TBS adjustment and labor. I hope this one lasts atleast 100,000 miles. :yesnod:
