msd timing retard how, where, do they make?
i have a 6AL box and a rpm window switch i am running a tnt 100hp wet shot i am going to put in the 150hp jets i was told to get some sort of timing retarder do they make one that plugs into the msd box?how much does it retard?how doess it no when to do it do i need another window switch? :confused:

I'm in the process of getting an MSD 6BTM. This device has a **** to retard the timing 3 degrees per pound of boost with a little **** that goes on the dash. Only thing is I'm not sure how I'd know in the first place how much my timing needs to be retarded. Does the 6AL hook up to the Knock sensor or something?

my msd 6a just hooks to the coil on the cap and rotor? i am going to get a BTM as well:D
but i would think you can get the MSD timing retard and call MSD for further question but i think you can pull up to 15degree's out or retard:D

BTW: I did some shopping around for my BTM and it's good I did.
Summit, Jegs, etc... sell the thing for ~$479
I did a search on the internet and found it sof r ~$335

but since you have a 6A?- you can get the MSD Boost Timing Master part # MSD-5462 for 165.95 :D

hmmm, that's strange, I thought I did a search last week and they wanted like ~$427.00 Oh well, I guess I'll just buy from summit then.

Ive got a msd boost retard to hook up to an existing msd ignition if anyone would be interested.I got it several years ago and never used it.
