Looking for the truth about minimum idle?????
First let me say thanks for all the help. This tired 85' is running great after a few hundred $$ in parts lots of sweat, but now she's running proud, except with the IAC working and the TPS properly adjusted, the automatic transmission shifts tight and hard, is this normal?
The minimum idle speed according to Haynes is 400 rpm another site lists it at 450 and GM service bulletin says it should be changed to 500 rpm, does any one know the correct setting?

1985 and later TPI models:
400 - auto trans. (in drive).
450 - manual trans. (in neutral)

Not normal.
