Headers?'s...What do I do with the EGR sensor...?

Headers?'s...What do I do with the EGR sensor...?
I am thinking about putting on header's and have a couple of questions...1) When I put headers on will I just be able to cut my dual exhaust setup I have now and weld the flanges on the pipes and then bolt together and will the headers line up up where my pipes come now....Very :confused: on this one...2) I have removed all the smog junk hoses and such except the EGR silenoid and sensor...What can I do about either on these issues....Thanks in advance for the help....

Does not Florida require emissions inspections. The last time I lived there they did roadside inspections. I hope your Vette runs fine without the emissions equipment because the engineers designed your car that way.
As far as the headers, you will no doubt have to improvise in some way or another to line up the headers with your other pipes. Are the headers the same outside diameter as the exhaust pipes? Personally, I would not weld anything on the exhaust system because when it comes time to disassemble it for one reason or another your going to be kicking yourself for it. I have an 88 Vette too. Look at my web site and there is a picture of my headers I bought from TPIS. If you need more info, email me. I can explain things in greater detail or call me. They don't have Emisions no more...They did when I lived here before too, but not anymore....Yeah I want to just beable to bolt them up to my pipes...I know I will need to cut my pipes and then I can weld the header flange on the pipes and meet up with the other flange on the headers....I will check out your sig....Thanks again....
