Last week I bought one used Superram with the base manifold. The price was right. I was in a hurry so I didn't look at it very carefully. The day after when I were cleaning the part I saw that GM was written on the base manifold. So I guess that the seller tricked me :mad
What I have now in my garage is one ported manifold GM#143520. What kind of manifold is this? From a Vette or not? Will it fit? Will it work with the Superram?
Re: Superram base manifold - got the wrong part! (Cratzy)
I'm sure it will work, but you might want to wait and find a lower intake to match the superram before.. A ported stock intake manifold doesn't have the flow volume that a superam can support. Don't get me wrong , it probably flows better than stock, but I wouldn't waste my time installing that over a stock one.. The gains would probably be minimal for that..
Re: Superram base manifold - got the wrong part! (h rocks)
Ok thanks! Bad news I guess. A used Superram and base manifold are very hard to find here in Sweden so I guess I will have to buy a new base manifold and they are pretty expansive.
But you are right - it might be stupid to not put in the right stuff from the beginning.
