Re: anybody have shift lights or warning lights (fiberglasscoffin)
I have a Harlan shift light hidden in the center vent. There is a nice tutorial somewhere on how to install it there... very slick.
The light kicks butt but I have heard the guy making them now takes forever and is not very responsive to emails. So I'm not sure if I can still recommend it.

:iagree:
I have one myself. It's very stealth and VERY bright. I love it! Was only like $50 or so too. You install it in the "fake" vent right next to the steering wheel. It will take you a couple hours to install, but it's the cleanest install possible. I'll try to get some pics tonight. http://www.harlan-engineering.com/store/store.html

Don't mind the rest of the car. I was putting the final touches on the wide band 02, which you an see the display for in the upper right have corner of the dash.
But that is where I have my Tach and shift light mounted. Works very well there. At night without the cover on it, its almost too bright.
Not sure how you would tie that into the nitrous system. ? Can't you tell when it "hits" by the way it feels? :skep:
Re: anybody have shift lights or warning lights (fiberglasscoffin)
Definately get the Harlan light.
I followed the instructions posted for wiring but I didn't want to cut a hole in my car. I mounted it on the drivers A pillar with 3m body molding tape. It is out of sight from outside the car and is very noticeable when racing. It has been in for over a year and no problem with the tape...

Re: anybody have shift lights or warning lights (fiberglasscoffin)
I use an Autometer shift light mounted on the dash just to the left of my line of sight. I mount it with double sided tape. I have an L-98 and have a 4800
rpm chip in the light. From my Diacom I found shifting when the light comes on I'm actually shifting at 5500 rpm. I have pretty strong motor. Not a bad idea to calibrate the shift light so you shift at the optimum rpm.
