I want to replace the stock fuel pressure regulator on my LT4 with an adjustable model. The stock regulator has what appears to be a vacuum line attached to it. I don't think the adjustable reg.s have a home for that line. What do I do with it?
TPIS does not list the top hat option for the LT4 application. I sent them a note yesterday inquiring if that is a fact or just an omission on their tech data.

The LT1 and LT4 use the same regulator.
Unless the factory regulator has failed or you modified or plan to modify the engine, you're wasting your money.
Yes, I know that this is a bit of an "Easter Egg" hunt on my part. The whole issue started on the dyno a couple weeks ago with the fuel/air sensor picking up a rich fuel mix during testing. The tech suggested that I might reduce the fuel pressure (ala the regulator) to improve the horsepower.

FWIW, on mine the peak and average power differences with a 12.0:1 AFR vs a 13.0:1 AFR was 0. Optimum AFR was in the middle at 12.6:1 where I picked up 5hp and 4lb/ft of torque. Some guys have picked up a few more hp, some less when playing with the AFR. It's definitely a crap-shoot as to how much or little your'll get.
Also keep in mind that lowering fuel pressure to lean the AFR can (tho not always) lead to a degradation in idle and part throttle driveability due to poor fuel atomization.
