I recently picked up a used set of SLP runners, less gaskets.
Can you use a liquid silicone gasket material without gaskets, or is the risk too much that some of the port will be blocked, defeating the whole purpose of the larger runner?
The reason I ask, more often than not, I use the liquid silicone on the gasket anyway. New cars use this almost exclusively, without the gasket itself.
What is the best way to do this?
Gaskets form SLP are $20/set + expensive shipping. However burnt piston from running lean one cylinder, priceless.

I don't remember the Mr. Gasket part number, but do your homework and you can find it. Summit stocks them. You need the gaskets for the large tube accel setup, then you just cut the center sections out of the upper gaskets. I think I paid around $15 or $16 for them, which was the same price as stock gaskets.
