Default Posi or not?
How can I tell if the rearend I have in my garage is a posi or not? Is there such a thing as a one wheel pull Corvette carrier unit? :confused:

Put the car in neutral. CHOCK THE FRONT WHEELS. Jack up the back end. Turn one rear wheel by hand. If the other wheel turns in the same direction its posi. If they turn in opposite directions its not.

Alternatively, don't bother. It's posi. :)

Well, it's a posi but is it fried??

For that you need to lock one side and measure torque to turn other wheel.
