TVS cable adjustment - definative ruling
After posting my question of correct TVS cable adjustment (For TH700 transmission) I went to see the specialist who rebuilt my box recently;
He says correct proceedure to adjust TVS cable to a reference point is thus;
1. disconnect TVS cable
2. Have someone keep accelorator pedal floored
3. reconnect cable
4. depress release button and pull outer cable as hard as possible back towards adjuster then release button
5. release accelorator then bring outter cable 1/8" back towards throttle body
At 75kph auto MUST kickdown to 2nd from 3rd

His procedure varies slightly from the GM service manual.
GM "may" be a little more definitive than your tranny rebuilder.
But to each their own... wahtever works for YOU is what counts.
