Worked in the fire protection industry for 20+ years. if it was Sodium Bicarbonate, (BC dry chemical white or very light blue in color) I would change the filters and change the oil and call it a day. Avoid water when cleaning up... vacuum or a tack rag is your best bet.
If your hypothetical issue was ABC Dry Chem (Monoammonium phosphate) which is light yellow in color I would do the above PLUS deep clean vacuum, can air any electrical connections, as it will slowly and mercilessly corrode copper and zinc.
