How long does it take..
How long does it take to fix a brake booster?
Is it an overall hard job to do?
Mine is in the shop getting fixed as I'm writing this, so I just wanna see how long it should have taken vs. how long it did take.

If you are somewhat of a contortionist, you can do it yourself in about 2 hours.
The mechanic should have your car back in a day (or so), assuming he has the parts available.

The third time I took mine off, it was done in about 10 minutes. The first time was a bit different.
There is nothing special or different about the C4 booster. A shop that does this all this time will have it done in 1/2 hour tops. The flat rate is around 1.5 hours I think.

I was charged for 2 hours labor and the unit cost me $216.00 CDN with almost a $200 CDN core return.
The total bill was $327.00 CDN.
Oh well, at least I have brakes, and brakes are nice to have.

The old unit was black and plastic, while the new one is a very dull aluminum. Maybe I can polish it up so it's very shiny.
The old unit had about a 5 to 6 inch crack along it's plastic part. Yikes!!
