Default 52mm Throttle body question.

From what I have read in this Forum, I can see that putting a 52mm TB on my stock engine will not increase horsepower.
I am thinking of putting one on for the reason of it getting to WOT before the butterflies are fully open. This will reduce the amount of pedal needed to get to WOT. Also by doing this, I can then adjust my TV cable to get the tranny to change up at higher revs, and change down with less accelerator pedal. This will be handy for autocross etc.

Is my reasoning flawed?
With the bigger TB, does it affect normal engine running?
Is the Holley 52mm TB better than BBK?(I have read that some members here have had troubles with the BBK)

I just put my 52mm throttle body on last night(after a rebuild and port job).

The throttle response is more sensitive. I like it. I'm thinking you will go into WOT quicker too. It may help my 60' foot times  I'll find out next month....my next trip to the track.

It wont affect your WOT, the WOT is controlled by the the TPS voltage and only goes into WOT at more than 80% (or 90%?!?!.... dont remember right now, too tired!)

Later
