I have a 1990 automatic and just had my 700R4 tranny rebuilt about 60 or 70K miles ago and up until yesterday never had any problems with it. Yesterday I'm at a stop sign and then proceed to go and it wont get out of first until I let off the gas a little and then would go into second. I then got to my destination and about 3hrs later I get back into my car to drive home and it was fine, had no problems switching gears... I have a feeling it's going but don't know. Should I be worried? I think that I'm going to get the tranny fluid flushed and a new filter put on. Anyone have any suggestions?
When was the last time you changed the filter/fluid? I believe the service interval is 30K miles, so you should be ready for your second change since the rebuild. If you haven't changed it at all, I'd just drop the pan and change filter/refill, not flush the entire 14qts.

Where is this located? Is that what it is really called the TV cable?
Thanks!
Yes, it is called TV cable, it connects throttle position sensor to trany and controls shift points. There are several different styles and adjustment methods depending on year.
Post here again stating the year of the car and ask for TVcable adjustment info
