Targa Top Rattle
My painted top has a rattle when I hit bumps, not actually a rattle, but makes a knocking like noise? Anyone else have this. Is there a way of fixing it?

Same thing on my top. When I hit multiple bumps it rattles. My weather stripping is bad and I believe the top is hitting the top of windshield frame. The noise comes from this area.

Search for threads by Scoob. There is a process to adjust the top and eliminate the bumps, squeaks and rattles. I've done it and it works.

I had that same problem for awhile. The four torx bolts were tight enough, turned out that the right side rear bracket screws were loose where they attached to the top. (these are the brackets that the torx screws screw into). I could hear the sound and pressed my fingers into the gap and could feel a slight movement, but the torx screws were tight. I took the top off for a closer look and found the problem.
