Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (luvmy92)
Good morning Tom-
Yes, Ramrod is correct. You dis-engage the grey/black four pin female connector from your existing harness and re-use it on the Dynaspark harness. We supply a small tool in our kit that facilitates the easy removal of the existing harness pins and the instructions provided are very intuitive. The same procedure applies for all years and models of LT1/LT4 engines. :)

Based on our current backlog of Gen I's and anticipated shipment of those units, a safe estimation for new order shipment should be the first portion of the second week of Sept. :)
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (camarolt1)
The O.E. splined shaft that is used with the original Optispark distributor is discarded because that shaft is now integral to the Gen I Dynaspark and it engages into the camshaft gear the same as O.E. on the camshaft side. This eliminates the need fpr one complete seal and possible source for moisture intrusion.
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (DynoTech Engineering)
The last 2 optis I bought from Pep Boys and Autozone used a Mitsubishi reader, which actually failed on my second one. Is your reader GM OE or Mitsubishi or something better?
In the unlikely chance that something breaks in the future (over 1 year), will you have a replacement piece price sheet?
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (camarolt1)
Look more closely at the rebuilders "re-manufactured" optical sensor and you will soon see that they are NOT new replacements in those rebuilt units....
Those reman companies put the sensors through an oversimplified electrical function test and cleaning cycle and then simply put them back into use. That is why one can get one of those units so cheaply, but you end up replacing it again and again. You certainly get what you pay for......
We use brand new sensors from Mitsubishi in every one of our units, not refurbished, worn-out sensors like some do. That is why our product carries with it the cost, but you also get an excellent performing ignition system that is also moisture tight. We already have a few of these things operating successfully in the NHRA Stock Eliminator Class where they are going through the traps at 7000+ engine RPM. Once again, you get what you pay for....... :)
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (DynoTech Engineering)
Ahh Phil,
Suddenly I feel so wise for leaving my Vette on jackstands, awaiting delivery of my Dynaspark. Now, if I can just get the valve train to hold together at 7k.... :D :flag
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (DynoTech Engineering)
Hi Phil,
I wish you had your Dynaspark available when I did my opti replacement. Do I understand that your Dynaspark can withstand an engine washing? I guess I'll keep your number/web site for my future upgrade. Oh, one more thing, I vented my 92 opti, does your Dyna spark for my year have venting?
Re: Did you Pre-Order a Dynaspark from DynoTech ? (Da Wiz)
We have taken delivery of the remainder of our order for the Gen I splined drive shafts this afternoon and starting tomorrow, we will start filling the waiting orders for the Gen I Dynaspark Distributors. We're working through the holiday weekend, so we should be completely caught up w/ the Gen I orders by Wednesday of next week and then we will be stocking these on our shelves for immediate delivery for future orders. :hurray:

Woo Hoo :hurray:  This is good news for us guys that want to change over, but don't have to yet. Saw one guy had a problem with one of your Dyna-sparks. Let us know if any trends develope. Sorry to hear you have to work over the big weekend, but it's good to hear you are back on track. Good luck
