Default just pulled my codes and.......

just got back from auto zone and they pulled my codes fine and the codes were

14

and 44


the guy told me 14 was my coolant temp sensor and 44 was my o2 sensor


is this right :confused:

if so how do i go about fixing the probs.

any help would be great :cheers:

14 is high coolant temp. check your cooling sys. replace the o2 sensor

if 14 means i have a high coolant temp then i must be overheating at 200 -210 ish :confused: :confused: should that be like that

Your car is probably running lean due to a bad 02 and that will trigger high temp.

:iagree: O2 is $35-50 bucks depending on where you get it. Changed mine about a month ago and it made a big difference on overall performance. :thumbs:

Your car is probably running lean due to a bad 02 and that will trigger high temp.
If this is the case, changing the O2 sensor is easy from what I understand. Haven't done it myself, though. If I were you, I'd dig in and change the sensor yourself ... you'll save some bucks and learn something new :thumbs:

After you change it, disconnect the batt. for 5 min. then take it out for for a ride min. 1/2 hour you should se a huge diff. and hopefully no new codes. :thumbs:

yea ive already looked on ecklers o2 sensor 37 and the coolant sensor 36


i think i might break open my haynes book and see if i cant do it my self

like a weekend project :cool:

Just changed all four on mine because I pulled a code. It took about 35 minutes but I had access to a lift. They are not that hard to change even if you have to do it in the driveway or garage. Good Luck.
