94 Cpe - Bad PCM??
Help!!!
I've got a 94 Cpe that has a problem. The Climate control seems to lock up on me. I can not turn it off or change the tempature (except up, but not down).
Also when the Climate control acts up, it seems that the engine fan stops working.
If I disconnect the battery for a while sometimes it works for a day or two after I connect it back up.
Is this the PCM maybe??

it could be the climate control head itself, if its anything like the earlier models
take it out, and clean the contacts on the back and check the connections

Yeah,
mine was doing the same thing - sometimes it worked ok, but mostly it would refuse to switch modes, or I couldn't change the fan or temp setting.
I fixed it this weekend by disassembling the control head and cleaning the contact pads (on the rubber membrane) with alcohol. If and when you do this, don't use rubbing alcohol because it's got oil in it to make it "rub" easier. Get some pure isopropyl. Unless your contacts are worn down, the alcohol will clean them up and restore proper fuction.

I'll give it a try. But what about the engine cooling fan not working at the same time the a/cond acts up?
