sys flashes?
on my display today i noticed where the coolent temp says 201 (whatever) it was flashing sys every few minutes i changed it from coolent temp to something else i put it on instant fuel and again every few minutes it would flash sys WTF?

I am having trouble with this right now. Check out my post, Serious battery issues? From my research it usually means your battery is on it's last leg. But I tested mine and it works fine. I'd stop by an atuozone and get your battery tested.

Two cases that it happened to me:
1.) weak battery
2.) blown fuse
I'm sure there are other reasons, but those are two I've encountered.

Also check the connections to the computer, and make sure the prom is seated! I had the same thing, and it was intermittent. Well as I was going through everything, the previous owner forgot to close the endsnaps on the memcal! Everytime I hit a bump or something it would happen until finally it was making no connection at all!

mine flashed right before the battery died. Once it was replaced I have not seen it since.

In addition to what Frank said about dying battery and blown fuses, SYS also pops up if you install an aftermarket stereo.
