Re: Question on heater core replacement. (Danah92LT-1)
For that kind of money I think I would have to give it a try. I changed the core out in my 85 camaro and it wasn't that tuff. I'm sure the vette would be harder, but not that much.
Re: Question on heater core replacement. (Danah92LT-1)
Sounds high to me. I thought this was about a $300 job at the dealer. I did mine in my '92 myself, and it wasn't really that bad. In fact, the job was not hard at all. The catch is that there's just a lot to take apart. In other words, nothing about the job was that difficult, but there's a lot to take apart and it does take a lot of time for the first-timer. A shop should be able to do it in three or four hours. I'd check prices at the dealers, just for comparison.
Re: Question on heater core replacement. (Corvette0096)
Thanks all.
I have the two books from the factory on the 1992 and a new core I bought last year, just in case. I will give it a try next weekend. We have two other cars to use.
Thanks
