84 C4 vs. LT1 C4 question
I was reading the "Are all '84's dogs??" thread ( http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=627163 ) and it got me wondering. To make an 84 Crossfire as fast as a late model LT1 or make a late model LT1 handle as well as an 84 Crossfire - which would be easier and less expensive - in both time and money?

To make the crossfire run with the L98. Well just no way.

I think it would be easier to make an LT1 handle as well as the 84. The crossfire intake is such a restriction that I don't think you could get 300hp out of it NA. Guess you could throw some NO2 at it though. :steering:

Get rid of the crapfire... err crossfire intake setup for a TPI or better setup, upgrade to a better cam and exhaust and you might be in the neighbourhood of 300hp with bolt ons. Nothing major.
