Motorized Convertable Top?
For us gadget frecks, an automatic convertable top had got to be near the top of the list of desiraables. Has anyone ever seen a vert vette that was transformed with this ultimate toy?

there was a GM prototype of a hard top vette back in the late 50's, and someone else built their own interpretation of it on a 58 or 59.
The home built, well, not really, the designer/builder was a trained auto engineer, had a rather modified trunk area.
Interesting vehicle.
And, in the C1's, a power top was available as an option.

'vert's already weigh-in heavier than coupes. Why make it even heavier with a motorized thingamajig for the top? Besides, you'd lose what precious little storage space currently exists in a 'vert...

Read an article that said a motorized top would be available for the C6 vert.
Maybe someone like Ecclers will come out with a retrofit for the C4's.
