Default Blue smoke ( part 3 )

Well, after long and hard thinking I think I have a conclusion why
is it smoking now.

Old ( original ) valve springs were double, same as new, but the inner
spring was thicker and there were some sort of cups on top
of valve springs so there was almost no room for oil to get
directly to valve stem. Oil was only coming down from the top
of valve and all extra oil was held by o-rings.

New valve spring is larger diameter, there is no cup on top of
the valve ( only retainer ) and I think that too much oil is coming
directly to valve stem and there is no valve seals on
exhaust valves to hold it back.

I think that this is the reason for blue smoke from exhaust, which is now
coming only on startuo when warm, and a little bit on idle,
but none under throttle.

I think that installing valve seals on exhaust guides will solve the problem.

What do you think?

I think you'll gaule your exhaust valves ruining them and the guides.

Why should I ruin the valves/guides ?
I know that exhaust valves could use more oil than intake because of
bigger temps, but I've been reading in a lot of posts that earlier
years ( '88 and maybe even '89 ? had seals on all guides.

All GM used was the O-ring type seal that I mentioned earlier. and you should have them on both valves now, even the intake witch now uses the new pc style seal. if you have a fax I will be glad to send it to you.

Here is what I would do tho solve you problem...I would get some victon valve seals and replace what you have on the car now. I read your first post and I said your valve seals are shot. I didn't read the part on the how many miles the car has. I would imagin you will just need seals..I would take it to a machine shop and have them match up a good set of seals that will clear your springs..From what I have read victon(SP) is the way to go.
