Default Does your Vette balance on 3 jacks?

I was changing my tran oil & went to lower the car & I noticed that the left front trolly jack had no weight on it. I was a little suprised.

Has anyone else had their car up on jacks & noticed this?

Thanks!

Yup all the time. There is always one kinda loose. When I jack it up pretty much always the entire side comes up even with the jack at one or the other jack point.

I guess it could - A guy at a shop had a chevy up on a lift - suspended at 3 points of the frame - he said the car was straight - floor was crooked

Just a little bit a trivia here.
I was working on my z car years ago that was setting on 4 stands when I slid under the car on a creeper & knocked a stand out, there I was looking straight up where the stand had contacted the frame. I scooted out quick but there was no need. Vettes the same way I'm sure

It's gotta say something about the stiffness of the c4 coupe (of course my targa top was bolted in tight.)

Well think about it, the most stable table is one with 3 legs.

This is slightly related so I'll mention it. I can get three wheels off the ground when jacking up either front corner of the car. I was amazed the first time this happened. These cars are stiff.

The real measure of how stiff a stock C4 chassis is put it up on 3 jacks and then try opening and closing the door on the side with ther single jack.
