Default What year LT1?

Im going to be looking into getting a 93-96 in the near future and am wondering which would be the recommended year to get as far as options, handling, parts availability, ability to modify-should I go OBD I or II? etc; etc. I am going to be new to the vette scene coming over from the F-body side. My last camaro was a blown 98SS making 429 RWHP(dyno proven). (btw i have a 6lb p-dyne blower for sale for a LS1 f-body)

Thanks
Mike

I have been told that the OBDIIs are less responsive to the common bolt-on parts that seek to make HP by increased air intake.

I'd get the newest one you can afford. :yesnod:

Take it from me, I'm a '92 owner--first year for LT-1. I'm not dissappointed in the least, but it's got it's associated problems being new that year, and in '93 they still didnt' fix them.

95-96, that way you can use LT-1 edit instead of having to burn proms, the interior is better, and they have more torque than the 92's.

Best of all, 95-96 have vented opti's.

I would go with the 95-96 because of the LT4 instead of the LT1 plus you dont have to burn proms like was said above.

LT4 was only available in 96, not 95, and only with 6 spd. All 96 Corvettes with the 6 spd had LT4 motors, autos had LT1s.

They should respond the same to mods in 94-96 because of the MAF, 93 was still SD so it might be trickier to tune it. 93 uses a chip, 94-96 uses a programmable computer.
95-96 preferably, since they have the vented optispark unit.

always get the newest you can afford
