Exhaust help
Hi
I need to fit a new exhaust. I currently have no cat's ss monza boxes with a standard y pipe.
Is it worth going to duel 2 1/4 system (biggest I can get in the UK) ?
My 86 vert (alloy heads) is fairly standard and I will not be doing anything drastic over the next few years
All comments welcome as I have to make a decision pretty soon

IMO,
With what you have done already, going bigger on your exhaust with the stock cam and intake system will probably hurt your bottom end performance. You will only need to get more air out from your exhaust when you have done the mods to get the extra fuel and air inside the engine in the first place. A good set of long-tube headers would be your best exhaust investment at this point due to the scavenging effect the headers have on the cylinders.
