Torque Converter question....
I understand replaceing stock T/C with a looser one, say 2600, can give a increase in performance, likened to gears (I have 3.73's)..
Question is what is the downside of a looser T/C? And what is the upside, lowend performance, mid rang or top end?

I am by no means an expert...but I just put a 2400 in mine and the feeling is S L I P.....S L I P......takes time to get used to. But on the other side....it takes off like a bat out of hell when stomping on it! :thumbs:

Too much of a stall will make it feel loose, which is really what it is, but it'll mess with your nerves. So I wouldnt go with more than like 2600, maybe only 2400 for a daily.
It doesnt make you lose top end or midrange.
It does add to the heat in the transmission, which can kill 4L60/700R4s. So you might want a tranny cooler.

I have a 2800 in mine, I also added a tranny cooler. At the track it's awesome, driving to and from the track it really isn't so bad.
I can blip the throttle in gear and watch the tach jump to 3000 and the car doesn't go any faster, but if I hit it, it goes like hell.

I can give you performance #s
With a "Stock" converter, my 60' time is 1.93 - 1.95 ... However with a 3000 stall converter my best 60' was 1.65 average was 1.69 - 1.71
