Fliud?

There is refidgerant and there is refidgerant oil. There will be a sticker under the hood that will tell you if you have R134a or something else. A 92 would have come from GM w/ R134a.

Your 92 will have about 2.2lbs (1.06kg) of R12 refrigerant as the factory fill. Your system can be upgraded to R134a by an automotive refrigerant shop as long as they use the proper oil that is compatible with that type of coolant. The shop must completly purge the old R12 and the oil used with R12 to insure there is no contamination of the new refrigerant.

Are there specific requirements for refrigerant types in France? R134a is the factory fill found in US autos since around 1995. It is less hazardous to the environment, and is somewhat cheaper than R12. R12 is running about $70 per pound in my area and although it is still easy to find, the supply will begin to run out in a few years.

R134 was started in 1994.
