AKM Molded cable with EASE, will it work???
http://www.akmcables.com/ic.htm
Does anyone know if this will work or not with EASE?
Thanks.

If you already have the Ease scan tool software and the interface then it might work. If you want to replace an Ease cable that has been damaged, the Ease OBD1 cable is $30 and the OBD2 cable is $60. Either one costs less new than the AKM cable.

If you already have the Ease softwae and interface then I'm assuming you bought an Ease scan tool new from Ease or used from someone else. Ease keeps all owner names on record so you can call their 888-366-3273 number and order a replacement cable under your name or that of the original owner.
You want either an OBD1 or OBD2 cable:
$30.00 CABLE-GM1 ......... GM OBD1 cable
$65.00 CABLE-OBD2-15 .. OBD2 to DB15 Cable for PDA and Personal scan tools.
$65.00 CABLE-OBD2-BLACK .. OBD2 to DB25 Cable for OBD2 vehicles.
If you bought a used scan tool from someone you should be able to get registration changed to show you as the current owner. This helps when ordering software upgrades and cable replacements in the future. As a part-time rep. for Ease I'll be glad to help if you have any other questions about Ease scan tools. Feel free to email me directly.

If that's the case then I will purchase both at once. I don't have EASE yet, but the person who burns my chips does and I want to use the same scan tool for obvious reasons.
Thanks!
