Default AC problem I can't identify

I tried checking the codes but its not throwing them at me. The problem is that the control unit is not telling the clutch relay to trip and start the compressor. I replaced the relay and it didn't fix the problem. I also manually jumped it and the AC worked fine. Yes, the light blinks at startup and if I'm reading it correctly, the code I get is low coolant, which it isn't. Any ideas? :skep:

Could it be the low pressure switch on the accumulator is stuck open? I am not sure exactly how the A/C circuit is on a vette, but that could show as low charge. If you pull the plug off of it and jump the plug out it might be worth a try.

You may need to reset the computer. Remove both the 15 amp CTSY fuse and the 10 amp radio fuse at the same time for 15 seconds. The compressor will likely start but if you have low freon, it will stop again. This is the way it is on a '90 and is likely the same on a '92.

I had the system recharged and it still had the problem. I'll try the fuse thing Sat. I did have some work done so hopefully its just a case of the computer being reset. Thanks for the help so far and if anyone else has any other ideas I'd like to try everything first before giving in and bringing it to the shop.
Thanks

It did need resetting. Thanks. I tried the fuse route but it didn't do anything. However, I thought since I have alot of extra stereo equipment in my car, the system may be feeding it power from a different source so I pulled the plug on the battery. That did the trick. AC lives! Thanks again! :flag :hurray:
