Ain't no such thing as a dumb question. As my flight instructor once told me, "we all start with the same number of hours: Zero!" The owners manual says to remove the license plate, rotate the bulb socket 1/4 turn counterclockwise and pull out. It also reminds you to replace your license plate! I love the guys who write these things! :D
BTW, if you replace the bulb and the light still does not come on, check the brake light switch at the base of the steering column. The wire for the CMHSL runs from the switch to the bulb as a separate lead and I think it's light blue in color. The switch has a separate contact inside for the CMHSL and if that fails, your service brake lights will still work. The fix is to replace the switch assembly.
c4cruiser, thanks! Center light will not work as brake light or when I turn the lights on. I'm guessin' it's the bulb but thanks for the tip in the switch!
